The other great benefit of sorcs is that their elemental skills deliver a huge amount of damage even in budget/ladder starter gear.

Sorcs also have the fastest teleport casting frame rates, making them able to cast teleport more frequently than any other build. They have access to the teleport skill, which makes them capable of moving several times faster than any other class (unless they wear an enigma runeword and use teleport as well). Sorceresses are clearly the best ladder starter builds for several reasons.
